I’ve been working out for a little over 10 years and have never come across a company or product like Chaos and Pain. Just visiting their website, ChaosandPain.com, feels like you’re stepping into an underground gyms built for men like “The Mountain“! The names of their products for example inspire stuff of sick psychotic legendary villains! I mean right on their homepage is a banner for “Cannibal Genius” which is explained as a supplement “For when you feel like saying aloud, “I’m so f@#*ing smart that I make smart people feel like they are retarded.” This should give you just a peak at who this company really is! They make products that go above and beyond and they’re designed to make you into a legitimate HULK!
The company does things differently than most supplement companies. They have decent prices! They don’t hide behind labels and are fairly transparent at what you’re ingesting. This is a very good thing. They offer multiple warnings that their products are not for the weak or timid. This is NOT a marketing tactic. Their products are no joke and will CHANGE you! Some of their products have been controversial but they still fight to make legal supplements for those looking to make changes!

I first heard of using liquid collagen as a weightloss supplement from a health book I was reading that looked right out of 1992 complete with mullets and all. I was pretty skeptical but when I asked my local nutrition store owner and fitness expert he said its a great supplement to include in your arsenal of products to take. The old saying goes “kick off your shoes and relax”. There is a good reason behind this, your feet handle so much stress it feels good to kick them up and relieve some of the daily constant pressure they endure. How come we don’t try to rejuvenate them more though? We roll out our entire legs, we massage our backs, necks, heck we even have scalp massagers…but are we taking care of our feet enough? Your feet are the starting point of a line of connective tissue that run along the back of you up to the base of your skull! Theres many different ways to roll out your foot and types of materials to use! Some people use a tennis ball or a golf ball, I like to use these Half Balls. It allows for me to really hit the spots I need and not worry about the ball rolling around. You are going to have to be your own masseuse just like when you roll out. Begin with the sole of your foot and work around monitoring any knots you feel and the pressure you can put on your foot. I personally recommend finding a knot and “sitting” on it for 30 seconds or until you feel the knot “break up”. Yes, this will hurt sometimes so much that you start doing a pregnancy breathing pattern while clenching your fists! When it’s all over though, you will feel a lot better because the base of your entire body has been relaxed and rejuvenated. Be careful not to do this too long or too hard as to damage your foot so please use common sense.
Be sure to add massage your feet into your regimen or do it while you watch TV and you’ll find yourself much happier!
Many guys out there have actually never worked out a day in their life. This is for them. This is all for all of those who seem to be plagued by injuries in the gym, constantly hitting plateaus, not seeing growth, and many many more. This post is going to be mainly focused on the best beginner workout program, Strong Lifts 5×5, with some highlights on the Ice Cream Fitness 5×5 program.
After working out for almost 10 years trying to feel my way through more workout programs than one can shake a stick at, I was hesitant to start a beginner lifting program. However when you read about the origins of strong lifts 5×5 and why it actually works, it makes you think. The theory is based off of the ancient greek wrestler, Milo from Croton, who trained for the Olympics by carrying a newborn calf everyday. As the calf grew and the weight became heavier, Milo became stronger. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s mentor, Reg Park, was the first to write about this 5×5 program in 1960!
The simplicity of this program may make the average guy who works out 4-6 times a week laugh but at the same time it allows the beginner an easy entrance into weight lifting. Yet somehow they all can benefit from this program. Every workout consists of just 3 workouts and you only workout 3 days a week. Trust me you’ll need these rest days more than you realize. There are two workouts programs that you alternate. Workout A is Squats, Bench Press, and Bent over Rows. Workout B is Squats, Standing Overhead Press, and Deadlifts. Every exercise you do 5 sets of 5 reps except for deadlifts, where you’ll only do 1 set of 5 reps. You will start with extremely light weight for you to focus on your form. However you will be adding weight to every exercise every single time you work out. Quickly you’ll be moving heavy weight! In addition to this once you feel comfortable with the original strong lifts program there is a program out there that adds accessory lifts too! Funny enough its called Ice Cream Fitness 5×5. Your core workouts will still be the strong lifts workouts and you’ll still increase the weight but now you’ll be adding in curls, tricep movements, abs and more. The term third world squat has become a layman’s term for a certain resting position so we apologize if anyone takes offense to it, but it is the best way to describe this movement (the alternate term for this is called a full squat). For most people who don’t live in a third world country we have the luxury of fancy chairs and most of us even spend the majority of our days working in these comfy chairs. However, over time this has hindered our ability to be fully functional and flexible. This is partially the cause of so many people squatting with bad form and ultimately injuring themselves. To counter act this, the third world squat seems to do a great job at stretching out all the muscles and tendons that we need to do a better squat and have more flexibility.
Most people would use this to benefit in the gym, however it can be used to increase flexibility and range of motion as people get older. The benefits from doing Third World Squats can help with hamstrings, hip flexors, ankles, lower back and more. Here are some more details on how:
Ankles-The ankles can lose mobility over all the years of not using them and can hurt your squat performance and over all agility. People who have DorsiFlexion/Calf Tightness when squatting may find help in doing this. Tip: Once in the third world squat position lean to the left and right to increase the stretch to the Soleus Muscle.
Hips-Stabilizing your hips is also crucial when squatting and this will help. You will need to increase your hip muscles to hold this position along the way. Tip: Hold on to a table at first if your hip muscles aren’t strong enough and work your way to just having your arms in front of you.
Hip flexors/Spinal Erectors-The hip flexors will be engaged to ensure that you get the appropriate pelvic rotation necessary. Your Spinal erectors also will gain strength during this to keep your back straight. Tip: Use your elbows to push your knees out to keep them from caving in and keeping everything open.
As you’ll see most people cannot just drop down and stay in this position for very long, but the key is to work your way up to sitting comfortably in this position for about 10 minutes or longer. Try to start small but just getting in this position when bending down to pick up something. It will feel weird at first and you’ll probably get some weird looks, but over time it will get easier and easier. You’ll really like the differences you’ll feel when you begin to squat with weight and you find it more natural. This will only help you to increase the amount of weight you squat as well!

Apparently there was a meeting that took place between the watchband makers of the world and technology leaders of the world. The technology leaders must has felt so incredibly sorry for the watchband makers due to no one really buying watches anymore because everyone uses their smart phone to tell time these days. I say this because every tech company these days is coming out with some wearable bracelet/watch to do some function that a phone would usually do. The latest to jump on this bandwagon is industry mega-giant, Microsoft. Before you say oh didn’t Apple just come out with the Apple Watch? Yes, yes they did but here is the kicker! This Microsoft bracelet is not targeting the Apple Watch so much, it’s actually targeting fitness band companies like Fitbit, Jawbone and the Nike Fuelband. To be honest it looks like it’s going to really tackle both markets in way.
The athletic and fitness band industry has been going back and forth for years between multiple companies rivaling over who has the latest and greatest, but the Microsoft fitband may have just said “Check-mate”. The outside is impressive with full color touch-enabled display, so text, call and email notifications can be read. Of course it acts as a watch and connects to its host using Bluetooth 4. But what launches this device ahead of its predecessors is what’s inside.
The components that make this fitband so much better are things like the GPS tracker built in to better track your movements, as well as a UV sensor to monitor sunlight exposure.
